After high school graduation, I attended college where I met my husband. We have been married 44 years. I quit college, found a job, and helped put him through graduate school. When our son started kindergarten, I started back to college. I graduated, and have enjoyed 18 years of teaching in elementary schools in Kansas and California.

My husband and I have always enjoyed traveling and meeting people of other cultures. We are grateful for the opportunities to travel to China, Greece, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and Mexico. Once retired, I found additional time to travel abroad to see eastern Europe and Canada, to spend time scrapbooking on three important subjects (grandchildren), and do genealogy research. Earlier this year I found a patriot in our family who had served in the American Revolution, and in September my mother and I became members of DAR.
