Danny L Pieplow

Danny Pieplow - 1963

April 26, 1944 to May 4, 1966

Danny was a fine actor and played lead roles in many plays produced by the Rancho dramatics dept. such as "Our Hearts Were Young and Gay", "Teahouse of the August Moon" and "Rebel Without A Cause".

Danny and Jill Heinz won the California High School Dramatics competition with their dramatic scene from "Teach Me to Cry" by Joseph Winsett. Danny and Jill were married in 1962 and were blessed with twin sons in 1964.

Danny landed the supporting role of "Jughead" in the CBS comedy series, "Archie". But, unfortunately, the series never aired. He played various melodramatic roles, lead and supporting, at Knotts Berry Farm's Birdcage Theater.

Danny was in the process of getting his private pilot's license to pursue a career as a crop duster when the plane he was soloing crashed into a mountain in 1966. He was a bright, funny and talented young man who was taken way too early.
