I married a wonderful man a year after graduating and we will celebrate 50 years together next June! I have a step-daughter and two daughters of my own. My step-daughter has three children and 2 grandchildren. My oldest daughter had 6 children, her oldest a girl named Heather, was killed by a drunk driver six years ago. Her youngest, a son, just began his first year as a cadet at West Point.
My younger daughter has three sons. They all live in Washington except one grandson who has been living with us for a couple of years. We have 12 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. We have a dog, Sandy, who is spoiled rotten by my husband.
We have moved a bit but have lived the last 16 yrs in the San Diego area and manage a 55+ mobile home community. We are going to try to retire in about 4 yrs and will probably move up to WA to be closer to our kids. I, too, am a cancer survivor...over 4 years now and doing really well...except for the weight battle! That is on-going!
I've kept in touch with a couple of classmates: Sharon (Calhoun) Stocking (class of '62); Dick Molzahn (class of '61) and Linda (Hayden) Crites (she was in the class of '61 but graduated from Bolsa Grande).
My sister, Ginny, and I attended the reunion in Las Vegas in 1998 which was a Five-Class reunion. We had a great time renewing old friendships and finding new ones. We will both be attending the reunion in August. We really are looking forward to seeing everyone!
