Gary went to Garden Grove High School (GGHS) in his Freshman and Senior years and to Rancho (RAHS) in his Sophomore and Junior years. He was National Waterski racing high point champion '68 and '71.

Gary went to college 12 years after graduating from GGHS and eventually obtained a masters degree and became a school psychologist in the Mojave Valley School District, which had 2200 kids and is located near Bullhead City and Needles, CA.

He retired from this district, moved to Sedona, and is still doing part-time school psychology work in Sedona. He still waterskis and snow skis in the trees and down black diamonds as much as possible.

Gary's wife, Randi, graduated from GGHS in 1964. Randi was a GGHS song leader and was president of Alpha Chapter of Lavenirs, a service organization sponsored by the Women's Club
